Kenilworth Lodge

Kenilworth Lodge - Sebring, FL

 

The Kenilworth Lodge was built for George Sebring in 1916 and designed by Bonfoey & Elliott of Tampa. The architecture style is considered Mediterranean Revival. The original cost to build the Lodge was around $200,000.

 

On December 3rd, 1920 it was announced the Kenilworth Lodge had been expanded at a cost of $300,000.

 

In June, 2000 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

 

In 2016, the hotel was shut down due to fire code regulations.

  • The Lodge had a pet store in the south section circa 1970s

Early Blueprint / Map

This map is dated 1924. It's interesting to note the vast size of the entire Kenilworth Property (~200 acres). The kitchen was present here, along with the furnace behind it. Living quarters and dining for the maids were present on the Bay Street side.
